About Newburg Oat

Released by the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station in 2011, Newburg oat seed has an excellent yield potential and has performed well in yield trials throughout North Dakota. This variety is similar to slightly taller than Rockford but heads approximately one day earlier. Newburg has average protein levels and test weight. This variety is protected under Plant Variety Protection Title V to maintain its genetic purity and must be sold as a class of certified seed. The NDCISA has rights to the production and distribution of seed.
