The development and release of ND Stutsman in 2017 was made possible through funds provided by the North Dakota Soybean Council. The NDCISA has the rights to the production and distribution of seed.

This variety of soybean was intended to replace Sheyenne and is not resistant to glyphosate. It has a high yield potential and is moderately tolerant to iron-deficiency chlorosis. ND Stutsman has a relative maturity level of 0.7 and features a purple flower, gray pubescence, brown pod color, and a yellow hila with a dull seed coat luster.

ND Hammond is a brown seeded flax variety with a medium maturity and high yield potential that is adapted to the flax region of the United States. During trials running from 2015-2017, this flax variety had the greatest average yield of all the tested entries. ND Hammond is resistant to flax wilt and has good oil drying quality. It has a medium sized seed and blue flowers.
