ND17009GT

The North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station released the ND17009GT soybean in 2017, which was made possible by the North Dakota Soybean Council’s donation of funds for its development. The NDCISA has rights to production and distribution of seed. Protected under Plant Variety Protection Title V to ensure genetic purity, this variety must be sold as a class of certified seed.

The appearance of ND17009GT includes a white flower, brown pod color, tawny pubescence, and black hila with a shiny seed coat luster. It has a high yield potential, is resistant to glyphosate, and is moderately tolerant to iron-deficiency chlorosis. This variety is a good fit for the northern areas of North Dakota because of its relative maturity of 00.9.

ND17009GT Strengths
• Gyphosate Tolerant (Chemical options include: RU Power Max, Cornerstone 5 Plus, Buccaneer 5, and others).
• A Glyphosate product combined with a pre-emerge chemical will provide for clean fields.
• High yielding 00.9 soybean with Excellent Standability
• Cost Effective (Seed est. $35/acre)

ND18008GT is a great soybean variety for the northern regions of North Dakota, thanks to a relative maturity of 00.8 and high yield potential. This variety is resistant to glyphosate and phytophthora root rot (race 4) as well as tolerant to soybean aphid. The appearance of ND18008GT features a purple flower, tawny pubescence, brown pod color, and black hila with dull seed coat luster.

ND18008GT is protected under Plant Variety Protection Title V and contains a proprietary trait that is patented with a certified seed only (CSO) clause. To ensure genetic purity, this variety must be sold as a class of certified seed. Only certified seed is permissible for planting and cannot be saved for the purpose of replanting.

ND18008GT Strengths
• Glyphosate Resistance
• Aphid Tolerance
• Early Maturity

ND Benson

The ND Benson soybean was released in 2017 thanks to funds made available by the North Dakota Soybean Council and the NDCISA has rights to the production and distribution of seed.

ND Benson has a high yield potential and was developed with the intention of replacing the Ashtabula soybean variety. A defining characteristic of this variety is its excellent soybean cyst nematode (SCN) resistance. It is not resistant to glyphosate but does have a tolerance to iron-deficiency chlorosis and is not prone to lodging. ND Benson has a relative maturity of 0.4, which is three days earlier than Sheyenne. The appearance of ND Benson includes a white flower, gray pubescence, tan pod color and a buff hila with dull seed coat luster.

To help ensure genetic purity, ND Benson is protected under Plant Variety Protection Title V and must be sold as a class of certified seed.

This variety of soybean was intended to replace Sheyenne and is not resistant to glyphosate. It has a high yield potential and is moderately tolerant to iron-deficiency chlorosis. ND Stutsman has a relative maturity level of 0.7 and features a purple flower, gray pubescence, brown pod color, and a yellow hila with a dull seed coat luster.

To help ensure genetic purity, this variety is protected under Plant Variety Protection Title V and must be sold as a class of certified seed.
